Triangle Brass Bands is a volunteer nonprofit. We collect as little as we can, we do not sell anything about you, and this page says plainly what happens when you visit, buy a ticket, or join our mailing list.

When you visit this site
Our host, DreamHost, keeps standard server logs: the page requested, the time, your browser and operating system, and your IP address. These are used to keep the site running and secure.
Every page loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address in order to serve them. The members area embeds a Google Calendar, which sets its own cookies when it loads.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which concerts people are interested in and which of our posts or emails brought them here. It sets cookies and records pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and which link you arrived from. We look at this in aggregate. We do not use it to identify individuals, and we have no interest in doing so.
Because tickets are sold on a separate site, the same analytics runs there too, so that a purchase can be connected to the concert page it came from.
Buying tickets and donating
Ticketing, donations, and our mailing list are handled by Ludus, a separate company, on their own site. When you buy a ticket or make a donation you are giving your details to Ludus, under their privacy policy, not to us. We never see or store your card details.
We do see order information — your name, email address, and what you bought — because we need it to run the concert and to contact you if something changes.
Our mailing list
If you subscribe, we use your email address to send concert announcements and our newsletter. Every email has an unsubscribe link, it works immediately, and we do not share the list with anyone.
Advertising
We advertise our concerts on Facebook and Instagram, and may advertise on Google. To measure whether those ads actually sell tickets, we use the Meta Pixel, which sets cookies and tells Meta that a visit or a purchase happened. This also lets us show a reminder to someone who looked at a concert and did not buy.
You can limit this in your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, and through your browser’s cookie controls.
Young people
The Triangle Youth Brass Bands are made up of school-age musicians. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 through this website. Registration, auditions, and anything else involving a young musician goes through a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us information through this site, write to us and we will remove it.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not trade or rent our mailing list. We do not build profiles of individual visitors, and we have no advertising relationship with anyone other than the platforms named above.
Your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies, and Google offers an opt-out for its analytics. Blocking cookies will not stop you buying a ticket or reading anything here — some parts of the site may simply be less convenient.
You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by writing to the address below. We will do it.
