Triangle Brass Band Foundation

The Triangle Brass Band was formed originally in 1986 as a joint venture of Capitol Broadcasting and the AJ Fletcher foundation. This venture created a British-style Brass Band addition to our central North Carolina community. This organization has filled a unique cultural and educational purpose to the lives of musicians and audiences ever since.

As the band approaches its 35th anniversary, it has grown its membership to more than 120 players among one adult band, three youth bands, and a youth percussion ensemble. Between innumerable and varied concert experiences, multiple national championships, bringing world-renowned guest artists and bands to the area, and enriching the lives of hundreds of youth and adult musicians, it has more than served the mission originally envisioned by its founders.

The organization looks forward to serving the local community for many years to come. With that in mind, the Foundation Fund was created in 2019. In honor of the original members, this fund seeks to establish a financial foundation to continue the mission of the group for decades to come. With seed gifts in honor of these original members, of which 5 are still currently playing, the objective of this Fund is to provide a stable source of long-term income to the organization and preserve its viability for all who come in the future.

Gifts to the Foundation Fund are added to its principal balance, with the intent that the proceeds of the Fund’s investments will support the organization’s ongoing financial needs.

Triangle Youth Brass BandThe Fund is able to receive gifts of cash, securities, and planned giving, such as estates. We appreciate gifts of any amount. Please consider your donations to this Fund as a way of “paying forward,” as your gifts will support the Band in perpetuity.
